CORKAGE POLICY
At Hafod Farm we allow hosts to bring their own wine, Prosecco, Champagne or beer for consumption during your wedding or event. However, as with other venues, we charge a corkage fee.
Corkage is a service charge that is levied by venues for opening bottles, serving drinks, use of glassware, glass collection and glass cleaning. All of which would normally be incorporated into the price if you bought drinks directly from our venue.
As Hafod Farm is a Licensed Premises, when our bars are open, we have a legal duty as licence holders to be aware of the volume and nature of consumption of all alcoholic beverages.
The amount of alcohol made available to our guests as corkage is therefore limited to ensure safe and responsible consumption.
Limits apply to the number of expected guests for daytime and evening consumption. The limit applicable for each guest over the age of 18 throughout the course of the day (from when our bars open at 12pm to when they close at 12am) is as follows:
500ml of wine, Prosecco or Champagne - equivalent to 2/3 of a 750ml bottle
OR
3 x 300m or 330ml bottles of beer or cider
OR
3 x pints of lager or ale.
We reserve the right to amend these corkage limits at any time. All corkage amounts must be agreed by us and associated costs paid for 1 month advance of your event. When are bars are open, we reserve the right to confiscate any and all alcohol from anyone on our premises that we believe to be intoxicated or under the legal drinking age of 18 years old. Should any guest refuse to comply with the reasonable requests of our staff, we reserve the right to withdraw services and facilities, insist on the immediate removal of a guest or guests from the venue and/or terminate the event. Should this occur, no monies will be refunded.
