CATERING AND FOOD POLICY
All food served at our venue much be prepared and served by fully licensed caterers. The caterers must procure and maintain all relevant Health and Hygiene certificates along with Public Liability Insurance for an amount not less than £3,000,000. This insurance must cover the cost of any claims made by members of the public for incidents that occur in connection with their business activities including but not limited to: personal injuries, illness, loss of or damage to property and death.
If you are booking a wedding or event at Hafod Farm, it is your responsibility to ensure that your caterer adheres to the restrictions above.
Hafod Farm is not responsible for any consequential or third party losses incurred as a result of any caterer carrying out their services at our venue.
FOOD SERVICE
Our Hafod Farm staff are not insured to serve food. Your caterer must provide sufficient staff to provide a full service. This includes plating, service to tables, clearing* and cleaning* of all crockery and cutlery (*unless supplied by us). In the event that crockery and cutlery is supplied by Hafod Farm (as agreed and paid for by the client), your caterer must provide sufficient staff for plating and service to tables, but NOT clearing and cleaning (which will be done by Hafod Farm staff).
SUPPLYING YOUR OWN FOOD
You or your guests may not supply or bring onto the premises any food or drink with the exception of the following items only:
Wedding cake (including cheese stack cakes). It is your responsibility to ensure any such food supplies are handled pursuant to any applicable health and safety guidance and regulations, including refrigerated delivery.
Confectionery such as children’s sweets which must still be in the original sealed containers in which they were prepared for sale and supply by the manufacturer.
Pre-prepared low risk food items for use as a table favour or gift for guests at their place setting.
Before you purchase food and drink supplies or make a commitment, please check with us first for approval for any item you wish to supply.
FOOD ALLERGIES
There are hundreds of foods that have been found to cause allergic reactions in individuals globally. Of these, the UK government has identified 14 major allergens that must be declared on food labels, which are celery, cereals containing gluten (such as wheat, rye, barley and oats), crustaceans (like prawns, crabs, and lobsters), eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs (such as mussels and oysters), mustard, peanuts, sesame seeds, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites (at levels above 10mg/kg or 10mg/L) and tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts).
As the host of a wedding or event at our venue, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of the presence and nature of any of your guest's food allergies. Hafod Farm is not responsible for any consequential or third party losses including personal injuries, illness, loss of or damage to property and death incurred as a result of the consumption of any food served at our venue.
